We're partnering with a pioneering technology company developing a revolutionary next-generation consumer electronics product and are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
This is a rare opportunity to work on a truly world-first product that is already protected by granted patents and has received multiple industry awards for its innovation. The technology is redefining what's possible within its market and has attracted significant commercial interest from customers and investors alike.
Importantly, this is not an early-stage concept. The business has successfully completed its Series A funding round and is now entering an exciting phase of growth, scaling both its product capabilities and engineering function. You'll be joining at a pivotal moment where your contributions will directly influence the future direction of the platform and the company itself.

The Opportunity As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing the software that powers a category-defining connected device. Working alongside a highly capable multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll help shape both the product roadmap and the underlying technology stack as the company scales.

This role offers the unique combination of cutting-edge technical challenges, long-term career progression, and meaningful ownership through an employee share option scheme, allowing you to directly benefit from the company's future success.
The system has 4 different parts, STM32 processor, high powered quad core ARM processor (for the graphics) and a Linux (Yocto) platform development and a GUI using QT framework.
Key Skills & Experience • Strong Embedded Linux development experience • Expert-level C/C++ programming skills • Proven experience working with STM32 microcontrollers • Experience developing low-level software, firmware, drivers, and embedded applications • Strong understanding of software architecture for connected embedded devices • Experience with wireless technologies such as BLE and Wi-Fi
Highly Desirable • Experience implementing and maintaining Over-The-Air (OTA) update systems • Background working on consumer electronics or connected products • Experience with telemetry, device monitoring, and cloud synchronisation • Familiarity with secure firmware deployment and device lifecycle management • Experience with QT framework for the GUI • Safety critical experience
