Overview

Join Gallagher as a Senior Employee Benefits Consultant and thrive in a strategic, client-focused role. You’ll collaborate with some of our highest-profile SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) clients to develop employee benefits strategies that drive value and growth.

Based across our London, Woking, Bristol, Birmingham, or Edinburgh offices (flexibility for other locations possible), you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional commercial outcomes
  • Mentor and empower talented colleagues
  • Shape the team’s ability to deliver smarter, faster solutions

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a strategic partner, your focus is on advancing Gallagher’s most significant client relationships:

Client Engagement & Growth

  • Own and develop your portfolio of high-value accounts, ensuring client retention, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Lead pitches, proposals, and negotiations to secure new opportunities and expand Gallagher’s offerings.
  • Guide senior stakeholders through workplace pensions, healthcare, and group risk solutions, aligning benefits with business goals.

Expertise & Leadership

  • Deliver technical guidance across complex projects, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Mentor junior consultants, helping them build skills and expertise.
  • Champion process improvements, enhancing internal efficiency and delivery quality.

About You

We’re seeking a seasoned consultant with proven expertise in employee benefits, including pensions, healthcare, and group risk. Your ability to partner with high-profile clients, drive revenue, and empower teams will make Gallagher stand out. Key qualities include:

  • ** industriexperience**: 10+ years in employee benefits consulting, ideally with workplace pensions, group risk, and healthcare experience.
  • Client Management: A proven track record of managing complex, high-value SME accounts—retaining relationships, nurturing opportunities, and achieving exceptional ROI outcomes.
  • Strategic Mindset: The ability to connect technical advice with business-changing results, demonstrating commercial acumen.
  • Leadership: Passion for mentoring colleagues, leading change initiatives, and building high-performing teams.
  • Business Development: Confidence in pitching, securing new business, and scouting growth opportunities within Gallagher’s client ecosystem.
  • Process Innovation: A proactive drive to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and elevate client delivery.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, adept at inspiring, influencing, and negotiating at all levels of an organisation.
  • Ethics & Standards: Deep commitment to transparency, integrity, and outstanding client service.
