Job Description

At Optimised, we help organisations take control of energy, utilities and sustainability performance – reducing cost, carbon and operational complexity at scale.

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Senior Energy Billing Analyst to support the continued delivery of high-quality bureau services and join our Utility Management Team.

This is an important role which requires someone who understands the utilities industry, enjoys solving complex billing challenges, and takes pride in delivering excellent client outcomes.

If you’re motivated by accuracy, continuous improvement and working for a company genuinely driving the transition to net zero, we’d love to hear from you.

Why join Optimised?

We’re not just another consultancy.

As a certified B Corp, we combine commercial performance with genuine environmental impact – helping organisations reduce energy consumption, control utility spend and accelerate decarbonisation.

With offices across the UK, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business with strong momentum, ambitious plans and a clear purpose.

Our solutions span:

  • Utility Management
  • Net Zero Reporting & Sustainability
  • Energy Management, Data & Performance

We work closely with clients to deliver measurable operational and financial outcomes – not just reports and recommendations.

The opportunity

This is a senior operational role within our Bureau Team, focused on supporting the accurate and efficient management of client utility portfolios.

Working closely with Client Services, Procurement, and Metering Teams, you’ll play a key role in managing complex supplier and client queries, validating utility invoices, supporting bureau operations and improving internal processes.

Reporting to the Bureau Team Manager, you’ll act as a senior technical point of expertise within the Bureau Team – supporting colleagues with complex billing queries, providing guidance to team members, and helping drive consistency and best practice across bureau operations, reporting and processes.

You’ll engage with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure high standards of service delivery while helping clients better manage utility cost and consumption across their portfolios.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
