Senior Engagement Manager
Engagement Manager – Defence Engineering & Technology Convergence
About the Role
We are seeking an Engagement Manager to join Capgemini Engineering with a focus on delivering complex Defence Engineering projects in the convergence of physical and digital worlds. We nurture experienced professionals who drive growth, prioritise customer-centricity, and thrive in the dynamic intersection of technology, engineering, and manufacturing.
As a Senior Engagement Manager, your primary role will be to drive strategic growth while working from our Global Programme Office (GPO). You will:
- Develop and execute plans that bridge physical and digital realms to enhance our clients’ competitiveness.
- Optimise technology and innovation on boundary-pushing procurement programmes.
Responsibilities
- Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients to align projects with business needs.
- Bid Management: Lead pre-sales and proposal stages to secure high-value contracts.
- Project Planning: Define scope, timelines, and deliverables for complex programmes.
- Finance and Performance Oversight:
- Ensure financial and non-financial targets are met.
- Drive initiatives for profitability improvement.
- Oversee forecasting and project finances, ensuring revenue recognition and cost control.
- Delivery-Led Selling: Convert accounts into sustainable growth through delivery excellence.

Requirements & Profile
Core Experience
- 10+ years in project/programme management, with a core focus on Defence Engineering.
- Maritime Sector Expertise: Experience integrating and deploying technology onto naval platforms.
- Transformation Consulting: Hands-on experience in strategic and process transformations.
- Multi-Functional Leadership: Proven track record leading large, complex teams (preferably in software development).
- Security Clearance: Ability to gain SC (Security) Clearance.
Technical & Financial Proficiency
- Deep understanding of project finances, revenue recognition, margin improvement, and month-end reporting.
- Strong analytical skills for budgeting, cost management, and profit enhancement.
Key Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail and retention of project complexity.
- Financial acumen in budget alignment, contract management, and account profitability.
- Client-centric mindset with strong stakeholder engagement.
