Senior Engineer
Senior Engineer – Infrastructure – A47 Tuddenham
Location – Tuddenham, Norfolk
Purpose of the role:
As a Senior Engineer, you will be joining us in delivering major improvements to the A47 in Norwich for our client National Highways. This is a project that will cut congestion, improve safety, and boost growth across the region.
You will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team.
What you will be doing:

Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination.

Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines.

Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.

Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required.

Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation.

Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.
About you:

Work safely and proficiently interpret data and drawings.

Advanced setting out skills, including Level, EDM, and GPS knowledge.

Relevant civil engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation).

Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.

NVQ Level 3 or higher, SMSTS, CSCS card, and expertise in Office 365/CAD

Infrastructure (National Highways)
Our National Highways business stream focuses on maintaining and improving England's motorways and major A roads, delivering against the key priorities of Safety, Customer and Delivery.
We are the fourth largest provider to National Highways, playing a key role on their Regional Delivery Partnership, Scheme Delivery and Pavement Delivery frameworks to deliver vital infrastructure across the strategic road network.
