About your role
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the shift-based Maintenance Engineering team, supporting planned maintenance execution and delivering shift metrics across Safety, Quality, Performance, Cost, and People Development balanced scorecard.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and hold the shift engineering team accountable for delivering planned maintenance activities.
- Support the Site Shift Manager in reacting to on-shift operational situations.
- Manage safe working behaviors and lead behavioral safety programs within the maintenance team.
- Ensure product quality through maintenance activities and achieve zero overdue compliance actions.
- Manage contractor permit control and adherence to safety standards.
- Develop and support planned maintenance activities to improve asset reliability.
- Support SAP and other systems for planning, control, and continuous improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis for engineering breakdowns and embed TPM pillars including Autonomous and Planned Maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Contribute to capital projects by identifying obsolescence risks and reliability enhancements.
- Support stores management by ensuring stock accuracy and adherence to stock control policies.
- Identify skills gaps and support people development through training plans and performance feedback.
- Commit to self-development and promote automation capabilities within the team.

What You need to be successful
Essential
- Indentured Apprenticeship in Engineering
- ONC/HNC qualification within an Engineering Discipline
- Solid experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of asset reliability and maintenance techniques
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Multiskilled engineering background
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and lead a team
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to adopt new technologies

Desirable
- Experience in bottling or similar FMCG production environments
- Knowledge of process control systems
- Experience with SAP maintenance modules and automation
- Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement and TPM implementation

Skills
