Power the Future with Agratas
Agratas is building one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable battery businesses. Backed by Tata Group, we are developing next-generation cell technologies, world-class gigafactories, and a global supply chain designed for long-term impact.
We are scaling fast — and we’re looking for exceptional people who want to shape the future of clean energy.
If you’re passionate about battery materials, thrive in a fast-moving technical environment, and want your work to directly influence the next generation of Li-ion cells, this is your opportunity.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Binder Material Engineer, you will lead the specification, sourcing, optimisation, and management of binder materials for Agratas’ advanced cell platforms.
You’ll work at the intersection of materials science, cell design, manufacturing, and supply chain — collaborating closely with internal teams and global suppliers to ensure our binder technologies meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and scalability.
This is a role where your expertise will directly shape the materials strategy behind our next-generation battery cells.
Key Responsibility Areas
What You’ll Do
- Binder Material Selection
- Lead market surveys, materials screening, parameter optimisation, and down-selection for binder materials.
- Engage with Tier 1 and emerging suppliers to align on material characteristics and performance requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on structure-property relationships to support commercial and technical optimisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
