Job Description
Are you an experienced Senior Engineer looking for a fast-paced, delivery focused role in London?
A leading civil engineering contractor, recognised for delivering complex schemes across the infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale civil engineering projects. This position is primarily delivery orientated, with responsibility for coordinating and integrating temporary works and design outputs into buildable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of civil engineering works in line with programme, quality and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Temporary Works Coordinators and Designers to ensure temporary works and design intent are fully integrated into the construction methodology.
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of temporary works, ensuring permits, RAMS and assurance processes are in place before works begin.
- Provide technical support to the delivery team, resolving buildability challenges and facilitating interface between design and construction.
- Review drawings, specifications and temporary works designs to ensure constructability and compliance.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability workshops and readiness reviews.
- Ensure compliance with BS 5975, CDM Regulations, and company procedures regarding temporary works and engineering assurance.
- Champion safe working practices, innovation, and continuous improvement across the project team.
- Support and mentor engineers and package leads with technical and delivery guidance.

Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer/Package Manager delivering complex infrastructure or civil engineering schemes.
- Strong understanding of temporary works principles and design coordination.
- Delivery focused, with a collaborative approach to integrating design, planning, and construction.
- Working knowledge of BS 5975, CDM Regulations and relevant engineering standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrable leadership and mentoring capability.
