Senior Engineer | Heathrow | Freelance or Permanent Opportunity

Project Duration: Until March 2027 with further opportunities available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major infrastructure project at Heathrow.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the groundworks and reinforced concrete packages required for the construction of a new link bridge connecting into the baggage system at Terminal 2.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with experience managing complex groundworks and RC packages within a Tier 1 contractor environment, looking to secure a long term position on one of the UK’s most high profile infrastructure sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of groundworks and reinforced concrete packages
- Overseeing service diversions and enabling works
- Managing temporary works activities, including cofferdam installation
- Coordinating reinforced concrete foundation construction
- Managing working platform installation, amendments and maintenance
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
- Working closely with subcontractors, designers and project teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintaining accurate site records, quality documentation and inspections
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer on major civil engineering projects
- Strong background managing groundworks and reinforced concrete packages
- Experience working within a Tier 1 contractor environment
- Previous experience delivering complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of setting out, quality assurance and construction delivery processes
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities effectively
