Senior Engineer (Highways)

Bristol / York

Permanent

Office/Home Hybrid Working

To further expand our Highways team, we are looking for a Senior Engineer to join us in Bristol. Working closely with your peers, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of Highway schemes and Access roads design.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Overseeing and participating in the production and delivery of the geometrical design
  • Checking of design and drawings prepared by other engineers
  • Undertaking traffic signs and road markings design
  • Carrying out RRRAP assessments
  • Defining Road Safety Audit briefs and responses
  • Technical leadership and guidance to junior Engineers

On top of that, you’ll have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering
  • Achieved Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or be working towards it
  • A range of experience working in a design environment on Highways projects in the UK
  • Demonstrable skills in the Design Manual for Roads and Bridge (DMRB)
  • Experience in Civil3D and Autodesk products
  • A sound understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Preferable experience in ProjectWise
