Job Summary
The Senior Office 365 Engineer will own the end-to-end execution and technical implementation of Microsoft Office 365, including:
- Management of Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online
- Tenant administration and collaboration solutions
- Hands-on expertise in design and implementation of major Microsoft 365 dependencies
This role requires deep subject-matter expertise in Office 365 features, enterprise email administration, and cloud-based infrastructure, with proven experience in scaling hybrid and multi-tenant environments.
Key Responsibilities
Core Engineering & Operations
- Engineer and deploy Microsoft Office 365 capabilities as the organization scales
- Provide tier 3 support for the full Office 365 stack (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with change management and risk governance for production environments
- Lead architectural reviews and strategic technology roadmapping

Security & Scalability
- Design, implement, and enforce secure Microsoft 365 + Azure solutions
- Supervise conditional access, data protection (AIP) and DLP policies
- Act as an escalation point for identity, messaging, and collaboration issues
Integration & Leadership
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams for cloud-native solutions
- Guide junior engineers through best practices in O365 and Azure deployments
- Contribute to operational standards, documentation, and service improvement initiatives
Technical Qualifications
Essential Experience
- 5+ years administering Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, Azure, PowerShell)
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, scripting (PowerShell/C#), and hybrid identities
- Extensive management of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), including:
- Security groups, load balancers, storage_backup/recovery_, networking
- Azure resources: Application Gateways, Virtual WANs, private DNS zones
- Automation proficiency: PowerShell/C# (runbooks, System Center Orchestrator), Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): ARM/Bicep/Terraform
- Troubleshooting & support: T3-tiers exchange/Office365 issues, hybrid landscapes
Additional Capabilities
- Working knowledge of version control (Git/GitHub), large-scale exchange deployments
- Conditional Access, AIP, eDiscovery and DLP policies experience
- Compliance certifications (relevant to IT security/privacy) a plus

Technical Proficiencies
- Microsoft Exchange 2016/365 pro (administration & messaging support)
- Azure AD, security packaging, SQL Server, VMware familiarity
- Certified preferably in Office 365/Azure certifications (MSCP-OC || MCA etc.)
Educational Requirements (Preferred But Not Exclusive)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT
- Certifications (MS/O365/Azure, DevOps) will add considerable value.
