Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Engineer role based in Little Hulton. The Senior Engineer will lead engineering activities across the facility, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production and laundering equipment.

Responsibilities include:

- Planning and executing preventive and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
- Optimizing equipment performance to support high-volume garment processing
The role will collaborate closely with operations, health and safety, and logistics teams to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Senior Engineer will also:
- Mentor the team of maintenance engineers
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects
- Support the implementation of new technologies and infrastructure upgrades
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills, including fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment.
- Experience with automation, control systems, and industrial machinery used in manufacturing, processing, or laundry environments.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe systems of work within an engineering or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and documenting maintenance activities, using CMMS or similar systems.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering team members, work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues, and communicate clearly at all levels.
- Background in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and reliability-focused initiatives to enhance uptime and efficiency.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, vocational certification, or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in high-volume, fast-paced industrial operations; experience in textiles, workwear, or hygiene services is an advantage.
