We're looking for a Senior Engineer – Python Automation to transform our enterprise organization by automating repetitive processes and advancing our Reporting Center of Excellence standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop the complete Life Cycle of Automation Solutions from intake through development, debugging, testing, deployment into production, and documentation, following the Reporting Center of Excellence’s standards and governance.
- Review all developed automated solutions with team leader to ensure objectives and guidelines are met.
- Build sustainability documentation for each automated process; review other team members' documentation; and contribute to team training and professional development activities.
- Run and maintain over 500 existing automation processes to ensure consistent, up-to-date, and accurate operating rhythm.
- Lead and coordinate recurring meetings with business collaborators to provide functional and technical expertise in identifying automation opportunities, process improvement, and Automation Governance.
- Research and develop code to improve existing automations for better performance and sustainability.
- Support the Reporting Center of Excellence in advancing both strategic and tactical implementation of solutions to meet organizational automation objectives.
- Direct the creation of Python-based and Agentic AI tools aimed at automating extensive repetitive tasks like combining various data sources, producing reports, and system reconciliation.
- Conduct detailed reviews of automation code developed by team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to guidelines and organizational standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, encouraging skill development in Python, automation frameworks, and problem-solving techniques.
- Find opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize existing automations.
- Research and incorporate new Python libraries and AI tools to improve automation capabilities.
- Support proof-of-concept developments for evaluating new AI tools and frameworks for automation efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Seeking
- Must have high-level Python skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience working with a wide range of data sources, including multiple ERP systems and legacy environments.
- Ability to set and accomplish goals.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- High level of personal and professional accountability, with the ability to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals.
- Ability to meet changing demands and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar.
- 3+ years of experience in Python Development (or MS in above subjects + 0-2 years experience).
- Advanced abilities in Python, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Preferred experience (not required): R, SQL, Java, C++, C#, HTML, Selenium, Power Automate and CoPilot, Studio for Agent Building, Snowflake or other Data Warehouses, PowerBI or any other dashboarding tool, IPA, Anaplan (or similar corporate reporting cube environment), Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
