Senior Engineer (Solar PV & BESS)
Senior Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical (Renewable Energy)
An international renewable energy developer is seeking a Senior Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their London-based team. This role will focus on delivering detailed technical support to engineering departments while expanding your expertise in renewable energy, particularly co-located solar and energy storage projects across Europe and Africa.
Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical design and specification
- Management of engineering deliverables
- Low and medium voltage design
- Regulatory compliance and SAT/FAT compliance
- CAD design, SCADA design
- Electrical protection specification
- Preparation of tenders and proposals
- Earthing system design and specification
- SCADA design and specification

Requirements
- Electrical engineering graduate
- Strong, multi-skilled individual with an eye for detail
- 5 years’ experience (desired but not essential) in the design and delivery of Solar PV and energy storage projects
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to cope with change and ambiguity
- Fluent verbal and written English
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across Europe and Africa
- Capability to issue high-level reporting
- Experience with international IEC standards (advantageous)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst, DigSilent, and Homer (advantageous)
- Medium voltage and protection coordination expertise (advantageous)
- Professionally registered or working towards registration
- Ability to work independently and advocate for collaborative teamwork
