Senior Engineering Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead high-performing product engineering squads building technology that improves healthcare across the UK.

You’ll combine technical leadership, strategic thinking, and people management to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable healthcare solutions. Working closely with product and business stakeholders, you’ll help shape engineering direction, raise delivery standards, and create meaningful impact through technology.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Birmingham HQ, with the expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office 1-2 times per month, as required.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable healthcare technology while shaping engineering standards, delivery practices, and technical direction.
  • Define and deliver engineering roadmaps aligned with product strategy and healthcare priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and oversee scalable, secure SaaS architectures for healthcare environments.
  • Partner with product teams, customers, and stakeholders to turn user needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Establish engineering standards that promote quality, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Improve delivery processes to ensure consistent and predictable software releases.
  • Ensure solutions align with UK healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering priorities with business goals.
  • Guide teams in modern agile engineering practices and technical decision-making.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve healthcare delivery through technology.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
