Senior Engineering Supervisor
Location: Spalding
We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Supervisor to lead on-shift engineering operations, driving equipment reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across our site.
You'll play a key role in supervising a multi-skilled team, ensuring fast response to breakdowns, strong preventative maintenance, and full compliance with safety and food standards.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and support a team of engineers across Abattoir, Butchery & Site Services
- Drive a culture of proactive maintenance and continuous improvement
- Ensure quick and effective response to breakdowns, minimising downtime
- Monitor and deliver KPIs including downtime, PPM, and work order completion
- Oversee daily engineering service sheets and shift performance
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene standards
- Manage contractor control, permits and on-site activity
- Support audits and deliver associated action plans
- Lead shift briefs and ensure strong communication across teams
- Act as a key point of contact on shift and deputise for the Engineering Manager

What we're looking for
Essential:
- Apprentice trained with a recognised Mechanical or Electrical qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an FMCG or chilled manufacturing environment
- Proven experience supervising or leading engineering teams
- Strong understanding of PPM systems, plant reliability and downtime reduction
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, safe systems of work and contractor control
- IT literate (experience with systems such as Holistech beneficial)

- Experience within food or meat processing environments
- Knowledge of Lean / 5S / continuous improvement tools
- Experience supporting audits and driving compliance standards
