Cognizant’s Data & AI Consulting practice partners with global enterprises to modernize data platforms, accelerate cloud transformation, and unlock business value through advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions. Our teams work across large-scale data modernization programs, helping organizations establish scalable, secure, and governed data foundations using modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks.

This role offers an opportunity to lead architecture governance and design assurance for a strategic Databricks transformation program, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture objectives.

About The Role

As a Senior Enterprise Architect – Databricks, you will lead the Technical Design Authority (TDA) function for a large-scale Databricks transformation program. You will be responsible for governing enterprise architecture decisions, driving design assurance, and ensuring all technical solutions align with business objectives, enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term platform strategy.

Working closely with engineering teams, solution architects, cybersecurity stakeholders, platform teams, and executive leadership, you will serve as the senior technical authority for architecture governance and strategic technology direction across the program.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design Authority Leadership

  • Lead and chair the Technical Design Authority (TDA), reviewing and approving solution designs across Databricks workstreams
  • Establish and govern architecture review processes, including submission standards, governance forums, decision logs, and approval workflows
  • Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards, target-state roadmaps, and platform strategies
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate architecture risks, exceptions, and technical dependencies raised through governance processes

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

  • Provide architecture assurance for Databricks Lakehouse implementations, including data ingestion, medallion architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and compute strategies
  • Validate integration patterns across Databricks, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and data ecosystems
  • Define and maintain reference architectures, architecture principles, design patterns, and technical standards
  • Drive standardization and reuse of architectural components to reduce technical debt and improve delivery efficiency

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
