- Driving enterprise-wide risk governance by providing independent second line oversight, challenge and support across key business activities and governance forums

- Strengthening risk ownership, accountability and operational resilience by partnering with business leaders and promoting consistent risk management practices across the Group
- Implementing and enhancing the Group Risk Management Information System (RMIS), improving risk data quality, reporting and management information
- Analysing enterprise risk information to identify emerging risks, systemic issues, control weaknesses and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Developing risk culture and organisational capability through coaching, training, awareness programmes and first line engagement initiatives
- Leading assurance and remediation activities while fostering strong relationships with Internal Audit, Compliance and stakeholders, and developing a high-performing Enterprise Risk team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
