Senior Enterprise Risk Manager - Home Based
A senior enterprise risk role with broad coverage across operational, insurance, financial crime, regulatory and legislative risk.
This is a high impact second line position with a leading insurer, offering salary up to £90,000 plus bonus and home-based working, with real visibility across the business and the chance to influence risk-informed decision-making at senior level.
You will join an evolving Risk function in a role where your judgement will carry weight. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, provide credible oversight and challenge, and help shape better decision-making across a wide enterprise risk landscape.
The opportunity
You will step into a senior enterprise role with broad remit and strong visibility. This isn’t a narrow compliance post and you will provide independent Line 2 oversight across a wide risk landscape, while helping senior leaders think clearly about risk, controls and business decisions.

What you will be doing
- Delivering independent Line 2 oversight across:
- Operational risk
- Insurance risk
- Financial crime
- Regulatory risk
- Legislative risk
- Providing clear, practical risk opinions into governance forums
- Supporting senior stakeholders with constructive challenge
- Helping strengthen risk culture, MI and forward-looking risk practices
- Translating complex risk issues into clear, usable business insight
Who this could suit
- An experienced enterprise risk professional from financial services
- Someone with strong second line experience and good stakeholder skills
- A risk professional who can combine analysis with sound judgement
- Someone who is comfortable influencing at senior level
- General insurance experience would be useful, but strong financial services risk experience is the key
