About The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the environment related documentation as per defined quality standards. Conducting compliance monitoring and measurement of key HSE parameters and equipment, contributing to environment inspections and facilitating external audits for ISO accreditation acting as the primary liaison for certification and regulatory bodies. Demonstrating understanding of various aspects of HS&E (Process Safety, Product Stewardship, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environment, Sustainability and/or other related areas) and providing operational support and advice in their specific areas of knowledge. Conducting advanced audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations to increase awareness. The role requires the successful candidate to work both autonomously and as part of the SHE team and focus on the following:
- Participation in risk assessments in order to assist in identifying and preventing environment hazards for complicated plants.
- Control of all environment documentation; procedures, manuals, guidance documents for a plant or facility.
- Analyses data and/or generates reports, graphs and records as needed utilising relevant computer systems.
- Contribution to the section’s budgeting process and facilitates coordinated activities in adherence to defined guidelines.
- Coordination of environment inspections and follows up with departments to ensure recommendations are implemented.
- Analyses training needs, prepare and deliver training materials to others on environmental standards and good practices.
- Primary interface with environmental regulatory bodies and leads end-to-end facilitation of external ISO accreditation audits to ensure continuous compliance and certification.

About You
The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, professional, flexible, and well-rounded individual with good environmental experience who will live the Tronox values. The successful candidate will have the ability and ambition to deputise for the SHE Lead in their absence and preferably have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- A science based qualification, an environmental bias is preferred.
- Experience of working with an Environmental Management System.
- Experience of working with the Environment Agency
- Experience of working in an industrial environment
- Understanding of the Environmental Permitting Regulations
- Experience of UKETS requirements
- Understanding of Waste Regulations
- Some knowledge of NORM
- Experience of and willingness to coach and influence colleagues in environment space
- The ability to develop to a higher professional level
- Strong Microsoft Office capabilities
