Senior Environmental Consultant
We’re excited to be partnered with a leading infrastructure organisation delivering essential services across the UK and they’re looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a dynamic, forward-thinking environment where you’ll play a key role in shaping sustainable infrastructure. From major highways projects to innovative environmental solutions, you’ll work at the heart of design, construction, and operational delivery, driving real environmental value and making a visible impact across communities.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading Environmental Delivery – Provide expert consultancy across both desk- and site-based projects within a varied and exciting portfolio Driving Sustainable Outcomes – Identify opportunities to enhance carbon reduction, biodiversity net gain, and overall sustainability performance Collaborating Across Projects – Work closely with engineers, construction teams, and stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality design solutions Owning Technical Excellence – Prepare and review reports, manage complex projects, and ensure robust environmental documentation and delivery Developing People & Performance – Mentor junior team members, contribute to team growth, and support project success through effective resource and budget management

Experienced Environmental Professional – Proven track record in a similar role within construction or infrastructure environments Knowledgeable & Qualified – Clear understanding of UK environmental legislation, with chartership achieved or in progress Sustainability-Focused – Experience in carbon, biodiversity, and wider environmental assessments Strong Communicator & Collaborator – Confident working with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments Organised & Results-Driven – Skilled in project management, reporting, and balancing competing priorities with a proactive approach
