The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of Senior Environmental Health Practitioner.

Do you have a positive approach to work and enjoy the challenge of a busy role?

We are currently recruiting to the post of Senior Environmental Health Practitioner to work within our multi-discipline Enforcement Team. The main areas of work include the use of statutory powers to regulate and enforce the law in the areas of private sector housing, environmental crime, anti-social behaviour, fly tipping, nuisance, littering. Whilst also providing specialised professional and technical expertise in response to consultations from the Planning and Licensing departments.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the tasking of Enforcement Officers, working with specialist officers to deliver service priorities and producing detailed performance and outcome reports. The role will provide many opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of environmental issues and make a positive contribution to the City. We are looking for someone with a high level of enforcement knowledge and experience gained in a wide-ranging range of environmental issues

  • Who is very competent, high-performing, self-motivated, and can work well as part of a busy team.

Securing compliance and, where necessary, enforcement is integral to the role, and we are looking to recruit someone who can demonstrate recent experience of delivering relevant successful enforcement outcomes.

We provide our team members with high-quality equipment and systems to work remotely when required, access to pool vehicles as well as state-of-the-art office facilities here in Civic Offices in Doncaster City Centre.
