We’re hiring for a 50,000-person leading international, multidisciplinary consultancy with offices in London and across the Middle East and Africa. They’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Environmental Specialist (ESIA/EIA) with strong ecological impact skills to join their established Water & Environment team in London.

This is a delivery-focused role supporting major infrastructure programmes across planning/urban design and transport, in the UK and internationally.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and deliver workstreams across ESIA/EIA, ESMS, SEA and planning assignments
  • Assess environmental and social impacts for large-scale infrastructure projects and programmes
  • Own delivery of project tasks to meet client requirements, budget and timelines
  • Manage specialist sub-consultants and coordinate multi-disciplinary studies
  • Support business development: proposals, budgets/fee estimates, client relationships, opportunity pursuit
  • Present confidently to clients (meetings, workshops, presentations)
  • Supervise, manage and mentor junior staff (including planners and interns outside the core environment team)
  • Travel internationally as required (typically 1–3 weeks at a time)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
