Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer to provide engineering support to the Epitaxy Shift Equipment Engineers and Technicians at our Caswell site. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving equipment performance through continuous improvement initiatives, production support, fault diagnosis and repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment upgrades. The role also involves working with hazardous process gas systems and the use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities with Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams.
  • Support equipment improvements, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
  • Provide technical input during equipment procurement, commissioning, qualification, and release to production.
  • Maintain and support MOVPE reactors and associated equipment to minimise production downtime.
  • Carry out phosphorus trap and gas cylinder changes using Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) (full training provided). Due to SCBA requirements, the successful candidate must be clean shaven.
  • Operate a forklift truck when required (training provided).
  • Manage chemicals, process gases, spare parts inventory, chemical replenishment, and waste disposal.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximise equipment availability, reliability, and uptime.
  • Ensure full compliance with all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Support the site's emergency response function as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
