Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced ERP Finance & Accounting Consultant with deep expertise in finance-led ERP implementations, optimisation, and business transformation. This is a customer-facing contract role focused on helping organisations streamline and improve their finance, accounting, reporting, and operational processes through effective ERP solutions.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with Finance Directors, CFOs, Controllers, and operational stakeholders to deliver ERP solutions that drive efficiency, governance, visibility, and business value.
This is an initial contract engagement with strong potential for extension based on project demand and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ERP implementation, optimisation, and transformation projects with a primary focus on Finance and Accounting functions.
- Conduct discovery workshops and business process reviews across finance operations.
- Analyse and improve:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets
- Cash Management
- Bank Reconciliations
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Financial Reporting
- Management Accounting
- Month-End & Year-End Close Processes
- Translate business requirements into practical ERP solutions and configurations.
- Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
- Deliver user training, change management, and go-live support.
- Provide functional leadership and guidance throughout project lifecycles.
- Work closely with Development, Product, and Support teams to resolve issues and improve customer outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with senior finance stakeholders and act as a trusted business advisor.

Essential Experience
- Strong focus on Finance and Accounting modules.
- Proven experience implementing or optimising ERP solutions within finance-intensive environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
- Financial Controls
- Reporting & Compliance
- Finance Operations
- Experience supporting Finance Directors, Controllers, CFOs, and senior finance stakeholders.
- Strong ERP functional expertise across finance processes and reporting.
- Excellent SQL skills and ability to perform data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation.
- Experience delivering successful ERP projects from discovery through go-live and post-implementation support.

Communication & Stakeholder Management
Exceptional communication skills are mandatory.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong workshop facilitation and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial and ERP concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders including CFOs, Finance Directors, and Executive teams.
- Confidence to challenge existing processes constructively and recommend best-practice solutions.
- Strong customer-facing consultancy skills and relationship management experience.
