Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages, and small towns. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood a short drive away.

The Role
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will manage a diverse commercial property portfolio, delivering professional estate management services that support our strategic objectives and maximise the value of our assets.
Specifically, you will oversee a broad range of commercial property matters, including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments and landlord consents, ensuring we achieve best value and maintain high occupancy levels and rental income.
Managing tenant relationships, you will ensure compliance with lease obligations, undertake property inspections, and work closely with Legal Services to progress property transactions efficiently through to completion.
Additionally, you will:
- Resolve breaches of covenant and property disputes
- Support the delivery of our Corporate Strategy
- Support asset and capital valuations for accounting purposes
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Work with the Facilities Team to ensure assets remain fit for purpose
- Represent the Council at internal and external meetings on property matters
- Procure and manage external contractors and professional advisers

About You
To be considered as a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will need:
- Extensive experience as an Estates Surveyor
- Proven experience in property and asset management
- Good knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- MRICS or FRICS status
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
A DBS check will be carried out for this post.
