Estimator or Senior Estimator – Water Infrastructure Cassette

About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate Estimator or Senior Estimator to elevate our Bidding and Estimating team. Located in our Shifnal or Newport office, the role entails:
- Being at the frontline of major infrastructure projects
- Collaborating with design, commercial, and operational teams to develop smart, competitive, and deliverable cost solutions
- Working on diverse projects—small feasibility studies to complex multi-disciplinary schemes—delivering tangible impact on-site

Key Responsibilities
- Producing commercially sound, first-principle estimates with precision for civil engineering and infrastructure
- Refining tenders through value engineering solutions based on risk, opportunity, and operational pragmatism
- Engaging with supply chains to optimise quotations and pricing strategies
- Engaging in bid submissions, tender clarifications, and reviews
- Ensuring consistent estimating standards, systems, and governance across all bids

Requirements
✔ Experience in estimating (or equivalent civil engineering expertise) within construction or infrastructure ✔ Strong commercial awareness paired with meticulous attention to detail ✔ Working familiarity with NEC contract forms and procurement processes ✔ Clear writing and presentation skills to convey complex data confidently ✔ A collaborative mindset, eager to grow with mentorship and learn
We welcome candidates who sacnvoir transitioning from:
- Quantity surveying
- Project or programme management
- Technical or site execution roles in water/environment/energy
