Senior Proposals MEICA
We're looking for a Senior Estimator/Proposals Engineer MEICA to join our Southern Water Framework team based in the Southern Water region.
Location: Southern Water region - There is remote working available, with travel to the office as necessary, this is typically around Brighton and/or Chichester.
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Proposals Engineer/Estimator to join our thriving Southern Water Framework team. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with talented colleagues and clients, delivering innovative, value-for-money solutions for mechanical and electrical elements within a framework environment.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Estimator/Proposals Engineer MEICA, You'll Be Working Within The Southern Water Framework Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Capital Delivery Projects. Your Day-to-day Will Include
- Preparing multi-discipline tender pricing and producing differing levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums
- Collaborating closely with estimators, bid managers, planners, design managers, and delivery teams to develop solutions and prices
- Providing technical input into the design management process and pre-construction phase, including early contractor involvement
- Coordinating with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, and in-house resources to ensure competitive and accurate pricing
- Identifying risks and opportunities, attending site visits and meetings, and compiling final submission documentation

What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Estimator/Proposals Engineer MEICA is great for you if:
- You have a proven track record of successfully delivering tenders and pricing of varying size and complexity in the water industry
- You possess excellent engineering experience within the water industry, enabling you to produce high-level budget prices even with incomplete information
- You can manage a portfolio of projects in a framework environment with excellent organisational and planning skills
- You have experience working collaboratively within integrated multi-sector teams to deliver multi-discipline tenders
- You're competent in using various IT packages including estimating software, and have a good understanding of client requirements and commercial awareness
