The Role

We're on the hunt for a Senior Estimator to join the growing team. In this role, you'll produce accurate, competitive tender estimates while working closely with bid, planning, procurement, and operational teams to help secure major project wins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for tenders and early contractor involvement (ECI) projects.
  • Work collaboratively with Bid Managers to develop competitive tender strategies and cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop labour, plant, material, subcontractor, and temporary works pricing.
  • Liaise with procurement teams to evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare tender summaries, pricing documentation, and support settlement meetings.
  • Contribute to risk and opportunity assessments throughout the tender process.
  • Support post-tender clarifications, successful project handovers, and bid reviews.
  • Ensure all estimating activities comply with governance procedures and client requirements.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering, construction, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies, cost planning, and tender preparation.
  • Commercial awareness with experience of different forms of construction contracts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience using estimating software and producing detailed pricing documentation.
  • Bonus: Experience with major infrastructure, rail, highways, nuclear, or complex engineering projects.
