The Role
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Estimator – FRC & Civils to join our Pre-Construction team and lead the pursuit of major reinforced concrete frame, groundwork and civil engineering opportunities. If you want the chance to support with the delivery of Landmark Structures Across the UK, this is the role for you!
Working closely with operational, engineering and commercial teams, you'll develop innovative and competitive solutions that help secure high-profile projects across commercial, residential, infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex tenders, engage directly with clients and influence some of the most significant structural projects in the market.
What You'll Do
- Lead estimating and tendering activities for reinforced concrete frame, groundwork and civil engineering projects.
- Develop bid strategies that support business objectives and secure profitable work.
- Coordinate bid teams and manage tender programmes from enquiry through to submission.
- Engage with clients, consultants and supply chain partners to develop competitive proposals.
- Prepare tender settlement documentation and lead approval processes.
- Challenge design and construction methodologies to identify value-engineering opportunities.
- Develop and maintain project risk registers and commercial assessments.
- Lead tender presentations and support new business development activities.
- Carry out market intelligence and competitor analysis.
- Support project handover and ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the estimating team.
What You'll Need
- Strong estimating experience within RC Frames, groundworks, structures or civil engineering.
- Demonstrable experience delivering bids for complex construction projects.
- Excellent commercial awareness and detailed understanding of construction tendering.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple submissions while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Experience leading bid teams and coordinating multidisciplinary input.
- Proficiency with Candy or similar estimating software.
- Degree qualified, with professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICE or similar) advantageous.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
