Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking for the opportunity to take ownership of high-value, technically complex projects and play a key role in driving business growth?

This is a senior and influential position where your estimating expertise, commercial judgement and technical knowledge will directly contribute to winning solutions and strengthening long-term client relationships.

Working within a Hard Facilities Management (Hard FM) and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) environment, you will support the delivery of complex technical services solutions, ensuring pricing strategies are commercially robust, accurate and aligned with client requirements.

The Role

As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of the estimating and tender process, working closely with Sales, Business Development, Operations and Commercial teams to develop high-quality proposals that support business objectives.

You will be responsible for reviewing tender opportunities, developing pricing strategies, assessing project risks and ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of accurate, competitive and commercially viable estimates for Hard FM and M&E technical services contracts, ensuring pricing aligns with client requirements, specifications, SLAs and operational delivery models.
  • Review tender documentation, technical specifications and scope requirements to identify project risks, opportunities and cost considerations.
  • Develop detailed pricing models by analysing labour, materials, subcontractor costs and operational requirements, while providing input into value engineering and commercial strategies.
  • Manage the full tender process, including cost assessments, bid submissions, pricing schedules, supporting documentation and client presentations.
  • Carry out site surveys and assessments to ensure accurate project costing and support informed commercial decisions.
  • Review and provide guidance on estimates produced by junior team members, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance.
  • Obtain, evaluate and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations to achieve competitive and cost-effective solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams, working closely with Sales, Business Development, Commercial and Operations to support successful contract delivery.
  • Support bid/no-bid decisions, contract handovers and commercial discussions by providing detailed cost analysis and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records, forecasts and CRM data while ensuring all work complies with company procedures, industry standards and contractual requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
