Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability at Primark

Job Description
What You’ll Do as a Senior Ethical Trade Executive – Global Ethical Assurance AUDIT
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Own day-to-day analysis, recording, and reporting to ensure compliance with Primark’s Global Social Audit Assurance Programme, working cross-functionally with ETES, Central Support, regional teams, CR Hub, Legal, and People & Culture.
- Support the implementation of company policies, standards, and reporting requirements for social audits, under the guidance of the Head of Global Audit Assurance (GAA).
- Define and strengthen governance, accountability, and oversight frameworks for monitoring and maintaining the global social audit programme.
- Identify audit training and awareness needs, coordinating regional delivery with regional leads and the Head of GAA.
- Develop KPIs and performance metrics to support programme management, partnering with Central Support and Technology & Systems teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead programme monitoring activities, including quarterly reviews, risk assessments, due diligence checks, and escalation of risks or issues, ensuring procedures remain aligned to regulatory and best-practice standards.

What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an ESG (Social) analytics or social compliance role, with a strong understanding of social audit protocols, benchmarks, and assurance programmes.
- Proven ability to manage social compliance processes, develop process flows, procedures, and KPIs, and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with peers and mid‑to‑senior stakeholders across functions.
- High proficiency in MS Office, with experience designing, developing, and presenting clear, business‑focused reports.
- Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem‑solving capabilities, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- A collaborative, personable, and proactive team player, able to build strong relationships, prioritize effectively, and communicate ideas in a clear, user‑friendly way.
