Insight Global are seeking a Senior ETRM Functional Business Analyst for a global energy trading and utilities organisation supporting a growing UK-based trading function.
This position requires 3 days onsite in London, UK for a 6-month contract to hire.
About the Role
The Senior ETRM Functional Business Analyst will act as the primary functional subject-matter expert for the ETRM platform, supporting a UK trading business. You will partner closely with traders, commercial stakeholders, and a global technology team to translate business requirements into effective system configurations and workflows.

A key part of this role is modelling UK-specific power, gas, renewable, and financial trades within an ETRM system originally designed for a different market. You will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy and operational readiness across trading activities, including position, P&L, and exposure reporting, as well as maintaining time-series pricing data and curves. You will also support analytics and reporting using SQL, Power BI, and Excel, working alongside technical teams to resolve issues, support UAT, and enhance system functionality.
Must-Have Requirements
- Strong experience working with ETRM systems (Endur preferred)
- Background in power and/or gas trading (power preferred)
- Ability to model complex trades and financial products
- Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and validating datasets
- Experience using Power BI and advanced Excel (including pivot tables)
- Understanding of time-series data and its application in energy trading

Plusses
- Direct experience with Allegro ETRM platforms
- Exposure to renewable energy trading
- Experience supporting UK or EU energy markets
- Familiarity with SSAS, cubes, or dimensional data models
