Senior Event Manager

We're looking for a Senior Event Manager to join our growing events team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of high-profile conferences, awards and industry events, leading their delivery from planning through to successful onsite execution.

You'll be responsible for managing multiple events simultaneously, ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standard while creating outstanding experiences for delegates, sponsors and stakeholders.

Working closely with our commercial, sales, marketing and content teams, you'll play a key role in bringing our events to life while leading and supporting an Event Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple awards, conferences and events across the portfolio, from initial planning stages through to post-event evaluation
  • Manage venues, suppliers and external partners.
  • Coordinate event logistics including AV, catering, production, branding, signage, staffing, guest experience and onsite operations.
  • Lead onsite delivery, ensuring events run smoothly and deliver a premium attendee experience.
  • Manage event budgets alongside the Commercial Head of Events, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost tracking and reconciliation throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial Head of Events and commercial teams to ensure sponsorship commitments are delivered successfully.
  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, content and wider internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Line manage and support the Event Coordinator, providing guidance, prioritisation and day-to-day support across the events portfolio.

Requirements, qualifications, minimum levels of experience

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working within event management, with proven experience delivering B2B events, awards and conferences.
  • Experience within dentistry or healthcare events would be desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience taking ownership of operations for multiple events from initial planning to onsite delivery.
  • Experience supporting or managing junior team members
  • Strong onsite event leadership experience, with the ability to confidently manage teams, suppliers and stakeholders under pressure.
  • A degree or qualification in Event Management, Marketing, Business or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
