Description
This is a maternity cover position, this role will require you to be responsible for your allocated events from concept through to delivery.
You will need to deliver each of your events successfully and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Research suitable conference and social event venues
- Negotiate and contract venues for conferences, dinners, drinks receptions and awards ceremonies. Including signing off your own contracts for dinners.
- Produce and file important documentation pertaining to each event including (but not limited to) timelines, contracts, travel plans, checklists and supplier’s details
- Determining and keeping an accurate record of event spend on each of our events
- Liaise with external contractors and sponsors
- Negotiate and execute partner agreements and venue contracts
- Demonstrate effective communication with sales, editorial, sponsorship, production and other Centellic departments
- Taking responsibility for handling issues and trouble shooting any problems, both from the office and onsite
- Assist and mentor more junior members of the team
- Conduct pre and post event evaluations with team members and report on findings

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Highly organised, and an ability to work to tight targets and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build rapport
- Ability to communicate effectively with C-level audience
- At least 2-3 years’ experience and proven track record of managing and delivering first class paid delegate B2B events and conference
