Senior Events and Sales Executive
Location: Manchester
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri
Salary: Competitive

As part of the UKE Group, we are looking for an organised and proactive Senior Events and Sales Executive to lead the planning and delivery of a diverse programme of conferences, webinars, podcasts, exhibitions, and internal events across the Brain Injury Group and other businesses within the UKE Group, including Veterans Welfare Group.
This role is responsible for delivering conferences, webinars, podcasts, and events from planning through to completion, managing budgets, suppliers, stakeholders, sponsorship, delegate engagement, and project timelines. The successful candidate will have excellent event management, communication, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality events that support the organisation's strategic objectives.

For over 15 years, the Brain Injury Group has provided centralised support for individuals and families affected by brain injury, with a comprehensive support network. Our expert advisors and trusted professionals offer financial, legal, and rehabilitation support while understanding the impact of brain injury on daily life. We also provide online and in-person training programs for professionals in our network.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver Brain Injury Group conferences, including the Adult Brain Injury Conference, Child Brain Injury Conference, Refresher and Training Course, and other Group events as required.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and event timelines, coordinating multiple events simultaneously while managing competing priorities.
- Develop and manage event budgets, forecasting income and expenditure, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring events are delivered within budget.
- Research venues for conferences and events, negotiating the best possible rates and terms.
- Oversee the production and on-site delivery of live events, including sourcing, appointing, and managing suppliers such as AV, production, catering, registration, venue, and contractor services.
- Act as the primary liaison for speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and other key stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring a seamless event experience.
- Work closely with internal marketing teams to develop promotional materials, drive delegate registrations, achieve attendance targets, deliver effective communications, and uphold brand standards.
- Gather feedback from all events through surveys, using insights to continuously improve future events and delegate experiences.
- Identify, develop, and maximise revenue opportunities across events and wider group activities.
- Manage event and sales enquiries and drive sales through effective conversion of enquiries.
- Arrange monthly planning meetings with the Legal Training Consultant to coordinate conference, webinar, and podcast schedules.
- Take ownership of the webinar and podcast programme, managing schedules, liaising with hosts and speakers, ensuring all episodes are delivered on time and accredited where required, and hosting webinars when necessary.
- Provide monthly reports and attend Growth meetings, presenting event and sales performance, and opportunities.
- Support Heads of Departments by researching and identifying external events that provide opportunities for client engagement, networking, brand exposure, and professional development.
- Develop and manage branded merchandise, ensuring products appeal to target audiences while maintaining appropriate stock levels and budgets.
- Act as the primary contact for stakeholder member events across the Group, working closely with marketing to ensure events are promoted across websites and social media and information remains up to date.
- Oversee the delivery of internal events, including monthly team get-togethers and the annual Christmas party.

About You
- At least 2 years’ experience in event planning and management
- Able to travel frequently and work longer hours when required to deliver events
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and effective time-management abilities.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Budget management and financial reporting experience, including forecasting and cost control.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, with experience in sales and revenue generation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Experience managing webinars and virtual or hybrid events.
- Experience producing podcasts or coordinating digital content.
- Knowledge of event accreditation processes (e.g., CPD).
- Experience using event management platforms and CRM systems.
- Experience working with marketing teams to promote events and increase attendance.
- Experience within legal, healthcare, or professional services events.
