About The Role

The Senior Events Executive plays a key role in supporting the Head of Event across all aspects of event strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation. The position will primarily focus on BYD's national and B2B event programmes, contributing to the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of high-profile events and experiences.

Working closely with the UK Events team, internal stakeholders, agency partners, and suppliers, the Event Specialist will help deliver engaging, high-quality experiences that strengthen the BYD and DENZA brands, maximise brand exposure, drive customer engagement, support test drives, and ultimately contribute to sales performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, proactive, and commercially minded events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing experiences to life.

About You

You are an experienced and enthusiastic events professional with a strong passion for delivering exceptional brand experiences. You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

You are a natural problem solver who remains calm and composed under pressure and can adapt quickly when circumstances change. You are confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, from internal teams and senior leaders to agencies, suppliers, and event partners.

You take ownership of your work, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. You are commercially aware and understand how well-executed events can contribute to brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.

Experience within the automotive or experiential marketing industry would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in candidates with strong transferable event management experience.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with the UK Events team to develop and maintain an annual events calendar, identifying key national and B2B events where BYD should participate to maximise brand exposure, customer engagement, test drives, and sales opportunities.
  • Support the Event Manager in delivering new product launches and high-profile Tier One events, including events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
  • Support the planning and strategic development of the national events programme, taking ownership of the successful delivery, execution, and evaluation of assigned events.
  • Manage events from end to end across national B2C and B2B programmes, working collaboratively with agency partners, suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead key project management activities, including briefing, planning, designing, coordinating, and evaluating event proposals and experiences.
  • Tailor event experiences to specific audiences and objectives, ensuring a best-in-class guest journey and consistently high standards of execution.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including vehicle movements, staffing requirements, event materials, uniforms, merchandise, and other operational requirements.
  • Manage onsite event activations alongside appointed agencies, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery and maintaining the highest standards of quality and brand execution.
  • Support the development and implementation of efficient event processes, continuously identifying opportunities to improve delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure brand ambassadors and event teams are appropriately briefed, trained, motivated, and equipped to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Work closely with the wider Marketing team to promote BYD and DENZA events, maximising attendance, engagement, and brand exposure.
  • Create and distribute clear and comprehensive internal event briefing documents for relevant stakeholders and teams.
  • Manage event administration, including raising purchase requests, processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and keeping budget trackers up to date.
  • Support post-event reporting and evaluation, capturing key learnings and insights to continuously improve future event programmes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
