We are seeking a Senior Events & Merchandise Executive to play a key role in bringing our brand to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, energetic and relationship-focused professional to deliver exceptional client, colleague and partner experiences through a programme of high-quality events, impactful branded merchandise and valued external partnerships.

Working closely with teams across the Bank, you'll combine creativity, collaboration and drive to ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence, strengthens relationships and supports our business objectives. The opportunity would suit those that thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy managing multiple priorities and take pride in delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

Events:

  • Plan, manage, and deliver a calendar of client, prospect, and internal events that strengthen engagement and brand visibility.
  • Coordinate all logistics including venue sourcing, supplier management, invitations, communications, and on-site delivery.
  • Ensuring events deliver measurable impact through client feedback, engagement levels, and ROI tracking.
  • Manage budgets and timelines with precision, maintaining accountability for spending and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Growth Enablement Team and client-facing teams to ensure events align with business priorities.
  • Lead on flagship and high-profile events, ensuring consistency, creativity, and flawless execution with support from the Business Development Manager as required.

Merchandise:

  • Oversee all aspects of branded merchandise for both staff and clients, from concept and sourcing through to delivery.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, quality, and production timelines.
  • Maintain accurate stock control, ensuring key items are available and replenished in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify merchandise requirements for events, onboarding, recognition, and gifting.
  • Ensure all items meet brand guidelines and quality standards, presenting Arbuthnot Latham in a consistent and professional manner.
  • Manage requests for bespoke client or event merchandise, ensuring appropriate approval and cost tracking.
  • Produce reporting on usage, costs, and ROI to support budget planning and efficiency.

Existing Partnerships:

  • Maintaining oversight of existing partnerships, ensuring brand representation and value are consistently upheld.
  • Support partner engagement by coordinating event attendance, ticket allocations, and relationship touchpoints.
  • Liaise with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure opportunities are maximised and aligned with business goals.

  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • Substantial experience of supporting and leading on the delivery of successful events
  • Event management experience for high-net-worth clients/prospects – individuals with high expectations.
  • Developed ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internally and third-party providers e.g. venues, caterers etc.
  • Exceptional organisational experience and project management.
  • Commercially aware, and passionate about creating memorable experiences that strengthen relationships and reinforce the brand
  • Budget management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Comfortable offering creative input in team settings, contributing ideas to support marketing and growth initiatives
  • Broad understanding of banking, lending, and wealth management is an advantage (including investment management)
