  • Location: Flexible across esure and Ageas offices

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Expense Business Partner to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role, supporting the UK Executive Team, helping the business manage expenses effectively, meet cost targets, and facilitate informed financial decisions.

You will be a trusted partner to senior leaders, providing clear financial insights, driving cost discipline, and support critical integration and transformation projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) background and significant experience managing expenses in a large, complex organisation.

Main Responsibilities

Your role will include:

  • Partnering with senior leaders and UK Executive Team members on all expense-related matters.
  • Providing clear financial insights and recommendations to support informed business decisions.
  • Leading expense budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Challenging and influencing stakeholders to improve cost management and accountability.
  • Driving deep-dive reviews to identify cost risks, opportunities, and efficiencies.
  • Supporting integration projects by tracking costs, benefits, and delivery against targets.
  • Improving expense reporting, management information, and planning processes.
  • Strengthening financial controls, governance, and best-practice FP&A standards.

Requirements & Experience

key criteria include:

  • Significant experience in expense management within an FP&A environment.
  • Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience with executive-level leaders.
  • Experience supporting integration, transformation, or change programmes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services is highly desirable.
