Join our highways team as our new (Senior) Exterior Lighting Engineer and help us advance toward a sustainable future.Your New RoleAs our new (Senior) Exterior Lighting Engineer, you will expand your experience and expertise in external lighting designs within our highways team across diverse projects, including ports, highways, urban areas, and landscapes. Additionally, you will contribute to the exterior lighting aspects for our marine, environment & health, MEP, buildings, structures, and infrastructure teams within our global company.Your key responsibilities will be:Producing lighting and electrical designs from concept through to construction in a multi-discipline environmentPreparing technical reports, specifications, design input statements, and lighting environmental impact assessmentsSupporting and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellenceEngaging with external stakeholders and building collaborative relationshipsAbout YouYou will have gained or be working towards an Incorporated Engineer/CEng status and have appropriate experience within the exterior lighting disciplineHold membership (Associate or full) of a professional lighting organization (ILP, SLL)Have completed an ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma, LET Lighting Diploma, or equivalent (not essential)Be proficient in using Lighting Reality softwareBe proficient in the use of Trimble Pro Design software (not essential)Able to work independently and supervise others effectivelyHave experience with National Highways and local authority lighting designs, and Design & Build ContractsBe familiar with the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)If you're ready to take on a senior role and make a difference in sustainable lighting projects, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!What we can offer youCommitment to your developmentFlexible work environment27 days annual leave plus bank holidays Matched pension contributions up to a set percentagePrivate medical cover and life assuranceReady to join us?Please submit your application with your up-to-date CV.The position is available to be filled, and we shall be conducting interviews as soon as a suitable candidate is identified. If this sounds like a role for you, we look forward to receiving your application.Work at the heart of sustainable change with Ramboll in the United Kingdom and IrelandRamboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company.
