Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Facade Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Colchester. The role involves leading façade engineering projects across all RIBA stages, working on a range of building sectors while collaborating with architects and multidisciplinary design teams. This position suits an experienced façade engineer seeking technical ownership, hybrid working, and long-term career development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver façade engineering across all RIBA work stages
- Work collaboratively to develop compliant façade solutions with design teams
- Complete performance analysis and conduct technical reviews
- Attend client meetings and design workshops
- Support procurement and construction stage services
- Assist with proposals and business development
- Use modelling software to assess façade performance
- Remain up-to-date with UK regulations and standards

Skills & Experience Required
Required:
- Proven façade engineering project delivery
- Strong knowledge of UK façade regulations
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Professional membership or potential for chartership progression
- A working knowledge of EWS1 and cladding compliance would be advantageous
Desirable:
- Commercial awareness supporting bids
Salary & Benefits
£50,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience, DOE)
