Senior Faculty Administrator - OBU
Department: Student Success
Location: East London (On-site)

What We Do
Senior Faculty Administrators are responsible for leading the administration function for the faculty in a way which contributes to the B3 metrics KPI, and most importantly student success. They are responsible in ensuring the administration for the faculty is completed to a high standard with accurate data and records provided for internal and external meetings etc.
About the Role
- Collaborate with the FM, other SFAs, Senior Student Success Tutor’s and other stakeholders and take direct responsibility for the administration for students with complex needs and for groups of concern
- Line manage FAOs in their duties (assessment submissions, action logs, withdrawals and authorised absences)
- Ensure FAOs’ timely and accurate record-keeping
- Check shared data, live trackers, and Moodle are updated and accurate by collaborating with level leaders and Associate Deans
- Complete faculty administration in preparation for:
- Missing credits
- PAB
- Programme Committee
- External Examiners
- APMR
- Take direct responsibility for the administration for students with complex needs and groups of concern

About You
- Experience of directing and overseeing administration functions with strong service delivery skills and a student-focused approach
- Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in MS Office applications, such as:
- Excel
- Word
- Outlook Mail
- Experience of working in a widening participation environment
- Ability to work independently and supervise as part of a team. Strong supervisory and people skills, including:
- Active listening
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Line management skills
- Remarkable organisational and conflict management skills
- Ability to supervise the handling of sensitive and personal information with tact, confidentiality, and initiative. Must use judgement to resolve line management matters
- Ability to maintain successful working relationships with appropriate boundaries
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
