Senior Family Solicitor – Divorce / Private Law Children (5+ PQE)/Chartered Legal Executive
Salary: £50k - £85k per year
Working hours: Full-Time or Part-Time / Flexible hours available
Location: Exeter (options to work from Taunton and Weston-Super Mare also available). (hybrid working available)

A leading, well-established family law practice is seeking an experienced Senior Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights (litigation and advocacy) with 5+ years’ PQE to join our growing Southwest based team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, progressive firm known for its high-quality children law work in the Southwest.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload, although will be supported appropriately by a highly experienced team of senior solicitors, newly qualified solicitors, trainees and paralegals. Your role will include:
- Representing clients in all aspects of Divorce and Private Law Children proceedings across courts predominately in the Southwest but also further afield
- Developing specialisms more esoteric areas of family law if you have a special interest in a particular area
- Conducting your own advocacy as appropriate
- Maintaining professional accreditations
- Engaging with Resolution regional groups
- Supervision of fellow fee earners
- Nurturing trainees
- Travel for meetings and court dates so ability to drive and daily access to a car is essential
You will have the autonomy to run your own files while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights (litigation and advocacy) and 10+ years’ PQE in family law
- Member of Resolution
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Familiarity with case management systems (LEAP preferred but not essential)
- Interest in NCDR
- Mediation trained or accredited (desirable)
- Ability to work in a paperless environment
