Senior Family Support Worker

Salary £36,363 - 340,777 | Full time, Permanent | 37 hours | Burnley, Lancashire

Do you believe the best support happens early—before problems escalate? Are you passionate about working alongside schools and communities to make a real difference?

We’re looking for an inspiring Senior Family Support Worker (Community) to lead early help responses through our Team Around the School model—supporting children, families, and schools to thrive together.

This permanent, full-time position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children, young people, and families through early intervention and targeted support. The role requires a proactive and compassionate professional who can build positive relationships, identify needs at an early stage, and work effectively with families to achieve positive outcomes.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong experience in multi-agency partnership working, collaborating with a range of partners to coordinate support, safeguard vulnerable children and families, and promote community wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills, contribute to effective early help delivery, and play a key role in supporting families across Burnley.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
