Senior Fashion Designer

About BABYBOO

BABYBOO is a rapidly scaling Australian fashion eCommerce brand, shipping statement pieces around the world. We exist to empower women to look and feel incredible for their most special moments – from first click to final wear.

We move fast, we back our ideas with data, and we’re obsessed with our customer. With a strong foothold in Australia, the USA, UK and Europe, we’re building a global brand with a loyal, hype-driven community at the core.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Fashion Designer to join our growing Design team! In this role you will lead the design and development of BABYBOO's tailoring, suiting, outerwear, lounge, denim, jersey and knitwear categories, alongside the new category capability we're building for 2027.

Reporting to the Founder and Head of Product, you'll conceive, develop and deliver elevated products across these growth categories, translating BABYBOO’s signature aesthetic into refined, high-impact collections and building global premium positioning.

This is a genuine build role. The categories are new, the design infrastructure is being built, and the opportunity to shape the brand's expansion is real. Candidates need to be comfortable operating with creative ambition and commercial discipline simultaneously.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will

  • Lead design of Tailoring, Outerwear, Lounge, Denim, Jersey & Knits including silhouette architecture, fabrication direction and option mix within defined OTB guardrails.
  • Work closely with the Head of Product and planning team to ensure new categories are commercially viable and milestone-aligned.
  • Contribute to category case development as scope expands beyond bridal and suiting post Q1 2027.
  • Work in close partnership with the design team, consistent direction across premium and core collections, no duplication.
  • Collaborate with production and sourcing on fabric selection, supplier development and lead time management for your categories categories.
  • Use sell-through performance, customer data and competitor analysis as a commercial lens on creative direction.
  • Monitor global trends across with a focus on the northern hemisphere market (US, UK, Europe).
  • Iterate quickly in response to fittings, data and market feedback — design agility matters as much as creative vision.

You are

  • Detailed in senior level fashion design experience with proven skills in occasionwear, bridal, suiting or premium elevated categories.
  • Strong technical capability — garment construction, fit development, fabric knowledge across woven, knit and premium finishes.
  • Experience launching new product categories, ideally within a fast-growth eCommerce or digitally-led brand.
  • A highly developed eye for silhouette, proportion and modern femininity — elevating a signature aesthetic, not reinventing it.
  • Fluency in moving between creative concepting and commercially-informed product decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills across design, production, planning and creative teams.
  • Confidence working to tight milestone timelines in a high-pace, high-output environment.
