About The Role:

Our client, who are revered across the hospitality realm and interior design industry for their notable projects and signature style across London and the globe, are looking for an experienced FF&E Designer to join their team.

Working in a beautiful studio in South London, the ideal candidate would have strong knowledge of FF&E experience in London and would be responsible for leading a social, talented and fun team through projects whilst building client relationships, understanding client briefs, designing and sourcing bespoke fittings and equipment on several projects simultaneously.

Working within a team that bring a friendly and supportive atmosphere and offers weekly social and team building classes, work/life balance, hybrid working and exciting projects in the pipeline, this opportunity to work in a reputable design practice is not one to be missed!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience working on a range of sectors, be it hospitality, retail or private residential projects
  • Leading and managing the team through client briefs and building the projects from an extensive knowledge of furniture and material suppliers
  • An in-depth knowledge of products, materials, and suppliers and how this would translate when coordinating this with technical and furniture shop drawings
  • Understanding and proven experience of project management including budgeting, scheduling as well as an innate design sensibility for different styles and aesthetics
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, external consultants, and the internal team
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and open to discussing ideas as well as being able to work independently

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • A degree within Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture is essential
  • Previous experience working on hospitality or high-end residential projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of the aesthetics of lighting and the atmosphere this would create is a preferable skill
  • An understanding of financial aspects of running a design project including timescales and budgeting is preferable
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Suite, and AutoCAD
