Senior FIDIC Engineer/Administrator

The Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the contract administrator, ensuring all contractual obligations under the FIDIC form of contract are properly executed and administered.
  • Lead and manage the contract administration process, including notices, instructions, claims, and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual timelines and procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with the client, consultant, and contractor teams to ensure alignment and effective communication on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely advice on:
    • FIDIC contract interpretation
    • Claims assessment
    • Dispute resolution
  • Lead and attend key project and progress meetings, offering expert guidance on:
    • Contract administration
    • Performance monitoring
  • Implement and monitor key project procedures, ensuring consistent compliance with:
    • Project governance
    • FIDIC requirements
  • Support continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing contract administration processes.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience administering FIDIC construction contracts.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in:
    • Construction Management
    • Engineering
    • Quantity Surveying
    • A related discipline.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of:
    • FIDIC contract forms
    • Their practical application on construction projects.
  • Can manage contract correspondence, notices, and claims with precision and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with a focus on clarity and accuracy)
    • Detail orientation and high organisation
    • Confidence in managing documentation and processes across multiple stakeholders
    • Collaborative working style, with skills in building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ideally hold contract administration certification, such as:
    • MRICS
    • MCIOB
    • PMP
