Location: Within an hour of Glastonbury
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 - OTE £60,000+
Shift: Days

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business that specialises in industrial recycling and waste processing equipment. This position offers the chance to work for a company with a strong industry reputation, supporting customers across the UK with specialist baling machinery. Ideal Candidate Profile
This role would suit a highly skilled Senior Service Engineer with:
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities
- Proven experience working on baling equipment
- Confidence working independently in the field while also supporting junior engineers and providing technical expertise when required

- Attending customer sites to carry out:
- Planned servicing
- Preventative maintenance
- Reactive breakdown repairs on baling equipment and associated machinery
- Supporting:
- Installations
- Major repairs
- System upgrades
- Ensuring equipment operates with:
- Safety
- Efficiency
- Minimal downtime
Sector: Recycling / Waste Processing Engineering
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Proven experience working on industrial baling equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience carrying out planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance
Key Requirements
- Experience working as a Field Service Engineer or Senior Service Engineer
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults
- Experience working on recycling, waste processing, or heavy industrial machinery
- Experience supporting installations, servicing, and breakdown response
Desirable Requirements
- Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
- Experience working with hydraulic systems commonly used in baling machinery
