Really Bright Media

Really Bright Media is a creative film studio based in Newington Green, London. We work with global brands and influential voices to produce TVCs, brand campaigns, corporate films, music videos, podcasts, documentaries, and original projects - conceived by our team members.

Recent clients include Mondelez International, AWS, Service 95, King's College London, Macmillan, alongside a strong track record with names like Microsoft, Unilever, Pepsico, Spotify and more.

We’re a close knit team of 14, and we’re looking for two Senior Filmmakers to join the team!

The Role

You’ll shoot, light and edit across everything we make: corporate, brand and original creative work, working independently and as part of a crew and using compact, streamlines camera systems through to top tier cinema equipment that we own in house.

There’s room to pitch concepts on new briefs too, working alongside our Creative Director, and if your concept gets picked by a client, you get the opportunity to lead that project. We also back personal, self initiated work. This is a studio where craft and creative ambition are genuinely supported, not just talked about.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Shooting, lighting and operating camera across talking heads, brand films independently or in a small crew.
  • Working music videos and high end ads, as part of a crew.
  • Working across the full technical stack: camera operating, first AC, lighting, gimbals. You know the gear and use it properly.
  • Editing quickly and well, with a strong instinct for finding the story in the footage.
  • Pitching creative concepts on new briefs, with support from the CD.
  • Leading a project as director when your concept is the one selected.

  • Bringing strong design sensibility to text and motion elements within your edits.
  • Taking on personal and passion projects with studio support.

  • Strong general filmmaking skill across typical camera, lighting and grip systems (gimbals, first AC, gaffing, DOP). Genuinely excellent and proficient, not adequate.
  • A fast, instinctive editing ability, finding the emotional and narrative core of a scene quickly.
  • Good design foundations, comfortable with type, motion graphics and visual polish within an edit, not just cutting picture.
  • Excellent attention to detail and rigorous, reliable workflows. This matters as much as creative talent for this role.
  • Strong creative and storytelling instincts, and the confidence to pitch your own ideas.
  • A portfolio that shows range: composition, lighting and editing that’s considered, not average.
  • Experience working as part of a crew, not just solo.

Perks

  • Performance based bonuses.
  • Access to top tier cinema equipment, owned in house.
  • Real opportunities to direct.
  • Support for personal and passion projects.
  • Great team atmosphere and office environment.
  • International travel for projects.

This is an on-site role with regular filming on location around London, UK and the world.
