Senior Finance Administrator

Senior Finance Administrator – Paid Opportunity

Location: Sherborn – Office-based with occasional flexibility to work from home Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Our client, undergoing an exciting phase of transformation, is seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to drive improvement across finance, compliance, and operational projects within a supportive and evolving business.

The Opportunity

You’ll report directly to the Office Manager in this dynamic role that blends traditional administrative duties with exciting business transformation projects.

Key partnerships will include senior stakeholders and finance teams, supporting:

  • Digital system implementation (e.g., automated compliance, expense approval, and wealth reporting solutions).
  • Modernisation of operational processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Ongoing administrative oversight of core finance functions.

A variety of tasks make the role stimulating, including coordinating regulatory filings, maintaining investor records, and driving process innovation.


Key Responsibilities

Projects & Business Improvement

  • Act as a cross-functional partner in developing, implementing and administering business transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance colleagues to deliver efficiency-driven improvements, including:
    • Setting up and managing wealth reporting, investment loan databases, and electronic approval systems.
    • Contributing to structured process improvement frameworks to enable sustainable business growth.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for automation and optimisation in compliance and administrative workflows.

Finance Administration

  • Provide end-to-end support to the finance team, including:
    • Handling audit-related preparation and approval workflows.
    • Hotel of session documentation, investment statements, and related compliance documents.
    • Managing electronic and physical records (investments, loans, properties, and mortgages).
    • Performing ledger reconciliations, exchange rate updates, and other routine accounting inquiries.
    • Assisting with secure payment processing, where required.

Company Secretarial & Compliance

  • Maintain company registers, statutory filings, and legal compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate regulatory submissions (e.g., annual returns, survey requirements).
  • Manage GDPR, ICO records widely, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer corporate statutory functions such as domain registrations and renewals.

Operational & Office Support

  • Provide administrative cover and ad-hoc support to colleagues.
  • Maintain critical systems (banking mandates, card registers, renewal dates).
  • Assist with petty cash management and internal filing processes.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll combine sharp administrative expertise with:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, corporate administration, or family office environments.
  • Exceptional detail orientation—accuracy is paramount in financial and legal tasks.
  • Confident handling of highly sensitive or confidential material.
  • Proactive problem-solving and process improvement mindset:
    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel power tools) is essential.
    • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., document automation, email AI) will be an advantage.
